Wow, I know we all say it and it seems silly but, how can it be October already?! All things considered this year has been odd, difficult, worrying and unusual. But time just keeps ticking doesn't it? I do love Autumn, I love the colours and the cooler air along with the breath of change..
I've been busy making stock so I am ready for your Christmas shopping and gifting needs. As we are having a baby at the end of this month (I promise to update you!!) I thought it sensible to be prepared rather than making your orders as they come through like I usually do. So the website is fully updated, and there are a few one-off pieces so get in quick if you see something you like, as I cant make any duplicates until spring next year!
These Large Venn Earrings were so fun to make. I love their scale and without being too deep and meaningful, the Venn concept is something I have enjoyed creating a wearable and visual representation of. If you don't know what I'm wittering on about check out this page!
I have also sent out my lovely stockists Christmas orders, these chevron and mismatch studs are off to Century General Stores. Paper Tiger Edinburgh also have a fresh batch of new and lovely things. Be sure to visit these small businesses in the run up to Christmas. Shop small, shop local and support the little guys!
I also recently completed a wedding band commission for a lovely couple who had to postpone their wedding day and have their numbers reduced and location changed. Hannah & Rory went with the flow though and they had a lovely ceremony in East Lothian in September. What an honour to make her forever ring. It sat alongside her beautiful opal and diamond engagement ring made by her jeweller uncle in Australia who sadly couldn't attend the wedding. It was a joy to make and a pleasure to work with such a gorgeous bride.
I think thats you all up to date.. Next blog post will probably include some baby spam, all going well hopefully! I wish you all love and positivity. Stay safe and keep those chins up. Take a few moments every day to just be aware of what you are lucky to have. Your eyesight, your partner, your coffee, your job, your home, your breath.
Lots of love
